Course Description
Aerie’s 24-hour EMT Refresher is a concise, three-day review of the knowledge and hands-on skills every practicing EMT needs to maintain state licensure and National Registry certification. Framed around the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP), instructors revisit airway & ventilation, cardiology, trauma, medical and OB/pediatrics, and EMS operations through short lectures, guided case discussions, and focused skill stations.
Emphasis is placed on systematic patient assessment, evidence-based BLS interventions, and clear crew communication—whether the call occurs downtown or two hours up a forest road. Scenario labs let teams apply refreshed protocols in real time while debriefs highlight documentation, safety, and local guideline updates. Graduates earn 24 continuing-education credits (CEUs) that fulfill the entire National component of the NCCP; most students leave with the education items to submit to the NREMT for their online recertification process. Currently certified or recently expired (≤ 24 months) EMTs are eligible.
