Advanced Wilderness Life Support Courses
The mission of AWLS is to create competence in medical professionals, enabling them to prevent and effectively manage emergency medical situations outside traditional medical facilities. AWLS is pre-approved for 17.5 hours of Category I CMEs. Aerie’s AWLS courses are offered in small groups and focus on hands-on learning of field skills. Our courses are taught by physicians, with practical field-skills training led by paramedics, RNs and other medical professionals.
Aerie runs AWLS courses in the following locations:
- Chico Hot Springs, Montana
- Denver, Colorado
- Fort Collins, Colorado
- Pacuare River, Costa Rica
- Mount Kilimanjaro area, Tanzania
